So who are we and where did we come from?
Crescent Learning is the brainchild of the team that run Crescent Purchasing Consortium.
We’ve been working in procurement for over a decade now, having grown from the purchasing department for the University of Salford. We know that the goalposts are always changing in this profession, and we understand the legislation you have to fall in line with. So we thought about what would have been useful to us when we were in your position, and we decided to build it.
We knew it wasn’t enough to just build procurement tools and tender frameworks – although we take great pains to make sure that through CPC you have access to the best of these – we wanted to give you more.
Within Crescent Learning, you have access to all levels of training and resources required to be the best at your job. Some of these didn’t already exist, so we had to write them ourselves. Others, like FELP, are longstanding resources that we’ve expanded and will continue to invest our time in developing.
If CPC is procurement for education, then Crescent Learning is education for procurement.
It’s second nature to us to want to bring together resources and share them with likeminded others – after all, that’s what a consortium is all about. So this is us, pooling our knowledge and resources to share with all of you. We hope you find it useful.
